Darryl and Muriel, my deepest sympathies to you both. It is still hard to believe. Ryan was my very first friend in elementary school and we have so many years of memories together that I'll always hold close to my heart. We've always kept in touch through the years and I'm so thankful for that. I got to look through all of our pictures we shared recently and I'll always cherish them. I'm so very sorry.

Darryl, I know what its like to lose a child- my heart bleeds for you. May your 29 years of good memories carry you through. He was a very handsome young man. Prayers for you during this time.

Muriel & Darryl I have no words. I am so saddened to hear of your loss. It was a pleasure to have taught Ryan from the ages of 3 years to 5 and I was so delighted to find him on facebook and renew our friendship. My heart is with you both and you will all be in my heart forever and in my thoughts always. I am so very sorry.

Murielle, my thoughts are with you but I know that’s no comfort. Ryan was a good friend to me during some of the most transformative years of my life and I will always carry those memories with me. I am grateful for having known Ryan and had the privilege of calling him a friend. We last spoke in November, when he messaged me about waking up smiling from a dream that involved a memory from our teen years. In retrospect, I’m thankful our last conversation was about reminiscing about that time in our lives together. Being a mother now myself, I can’t begin to imagine how you’re feeling but please know you’re not the only one remembering how Ryan positively impacted your life - that will live on in my memories. Much love.

I was one of Ryan's supervisors at Value Village over a decade ago. Even though I spent the most of those years in AB, we always kept in touch. I truly cared about him as a friend and always wished for him to be happy. He really will be missed. My sincerest condolences.

I use to work with Ryan at Value Village and a bunch of us use to hang out after work on occasion, Ryan was a great guy so full of personality with a big heart, we had some great laughs and good time both at and after work.
