It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fernande Savoie, 92, surrounded by family, on Sunday, August 23rd, 2026, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.
Born in Shediac River, she was the daughter of the late John and the late Melina Arsenault (Després).
Fernande will be sadly missed by her children: Bernice (Léo-Paul) Melanson, Roland Savoie (Sue Penney), Roméo (Laverne) Savoie, Marie Savoie (Nelson Richards), Gisele (late Donald) Melanson, Julien (Tammy) Savoie, Vincent (Kim) Savoie, and Ginette Savoie; her siblings: Leonard (Dianna) Arsenault, Roméo (Lilianne) Arsenault, Juliette (late Ola) Goguen, and Dorilla (late Donald) Vautour; her 14 grandchildren; as well as several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her grandson, Jason; her granddaughter, Krista; as well as her siblings: Aurore (late Stanley) Goguen, Sara (late Albénie) Babineau, Aldéric (late Eva) Arsenault, Jeannette (late Armand) Leger, Florence (late Omer) Hebert, Roger (late Marguerite) Arsenault, and Robert (late Beverly) Arsenault.
Visitations will be held at Passage (3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge) on Friday, September 11th, 2026, from 10:00am until 11:30am. In accordance with the family’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
Donations in memory of Fernande can be made to PAW (People for Animal Wellbeing) or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

My condolences to the Savoie family for the loss of there mother. I loved Fernande, she was a good person .I remember talking with her & we would laugh so much. Christina my daughter is giving her condolences, she loved her too.
