Adelard Cormier, 88, of Bouctouche and formerly of Saint-Maurice, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Saturday September 16, 2017 at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent. Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Jim and the late Marceline (Arsenault) Cormier.
Adelard will be sadly missed by his nephews and nieces. Being the last surviving member of his immediate family, he was predeceased by six sisters; Yvonne in infancy, Azélie, Marie, Sr Alice, Elizabeth and Claire and seven brothers; Joseph Oscar in infancy, Edmond, Hector, Willie, Alfred, Oscar and Joseph.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Wednesday September 20, 2017 from 1 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Church, Bouctouche, on Wednesday September 20, 2017 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.
In Adelars’s memory donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
