In Loving Memory Of
Adélyre Goguen
1944 - 2024

Moncton, NB – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Adélyre Goguen, 79, on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at the Albert House Hospice.  Born in Cocagne, NB, he was the son of Edmond Goguen and Rose (Melanson) Goguen.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Janice Robichaud-Goguen; his two sons: Denis Goguen (Kathleen) of Riverview, and Serge Goguen, of Moncton, his stepson  Serge-André Comeau (Mélanie Daigle), of Shediac River and his stepdaughter, Chantal Comeau (Ron), of Memramcook; his five grandchildren: Selena, Etienne, Simon, Samuelle, Lucie, Guillaume, and Damien, as well as his three sisters:  Germaine LeBlanc (Donald), of Shediac,  Léa Poirier (late Rodolphe), of Moncton, and Eva McSween (Bart), of Fredericton.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers:  Donald, Armand and Lévi; and two sisters: Stella and Lorraine.

Adélyre was cherished by so many and always had a kind gesture or word for everyone. Despite his health challenges, he persevered year after year and still inquired about everyone around him. In his classroom, at the grocery store or in the neighbourhood, Adélyre always showed a genuine interest towards those who crossed his path. We will never see Nascar, Bob Dylan, the Chicago Black Hawks or desserts the same way because these things will always remind us of this caring soul with whom we were blessed to share our lives. May you rest in peace Adélyre.

Visitations will be at Passage-Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, NB (506) 857-1901, on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. followed by the funeral service at the chapel at 4 p.m.
