Bouctouche, NB – It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Alban Cormier, 85, son of the late Fred and the late Alvida (Collette) Cormier, on October 8th, 2025, at Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Bouctouche, Alban lived a full and generous life marked with kindness, hard work and love for nature.
Alban had a deep passion for fishing and hunting. He was known for his willingness to help others. His compassion and generosity touched many lives.
He was a loving husband to his wife of 62 years, Rose-Mai Cormier. He was a proud father to Paul (Irene), Linda, Murielle (Bert), Alban Jr. (Adrienne), Christine (Bruno) and Denis, whom he helped raised with love and care. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; he will be missed by special people in his life: Victor and Phyllis; by his sister, Marguerite Landry; by his brother, Dave Goguen, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Ted, Johnny, Jean-Claude, Edouard, Jean-Paul, Patricia, Patrick, Dora and Emilie.
Visitation will be held from Passage-Maillet, 29 de l’Église Street, Bouctouche, NB, (506) 743-2207, on Monday, October 13th, 2025, from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and on Tuesday, October 14th, 2025, from 9 am to 10:30 am, funeral to follow at St-Jean-Baptiste RC Church, Bouctouche, NB at 11 am.
Burial will be held in St-Jean-Baptiste Parish Cemetery, Bouctouche, NB.
