Grande-Digue, NB – It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Albé Hebert, 96, on Friday, December 6th, 2024, at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent, NB.
Born in Notre-Dame, NB, he was the son of the late Pierre and the late Emma (Babineau) Hebert.
Prior to his retirement, he worked for Swift Canada. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, council #7535, Grande-Digue.
He will be sadly missed by his daughters: Anne of Shediac, Jeannette (Louis) of Shediac Bridge and Diane (Roland) of Moncton; by his sons: André (Cecile) of St-Sosime, Normand and Ronald (Debbie), both of Moncton and Marcel (Diane) of MacDougall Settlement; by his sister, Stella of Grande-Digue; by his brother, Albert (Bernadette) of Irishtown; by his special sister-in-law, Marguerite (Médard) of Grand-Barachois; 17 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Thérèse (Pellerin); by his grandson, André; by his sisters: Lina, Aline, Sarah and Valida and by his brothers: Mélas, Théodore, Fred and Stanley.
A special thank-you to Dr. Marcel Roy, to the Shediac Extra-Mural, to Social Services at home care Pascal-Poirier and to all doctor, nurses and staff of the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, for the excellent care given to Albé.
Visitation will be held at Passage, 3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge, (506) 532-1050, on Thursday, December 12th, 2024, from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm only.
Funeral mass will be held at La Visitation RC Church, Grande-Digue, on Friday, December 13th, 2024, at 3 pm.
In Albé’s memory, a donation can be made to the CHU-Dumont Foundation “Oncology”.

So many wonderful memories of our time spent with dear Albe’ and his wife Theresa at our camp in St. Sosime and then at the shore in Caisse-Cape. Please accept our deepest condolences.

Mes plus sincères condoléances à la famille Hébert suite au décès de votre cher Albé. J’ai connu Albé lorsqu’il travaillait à L’école Lion Don Steeves durant mes premières année s d’enseignements. Il était une personnel bien aimé par le personnel enseignant pour son travail et son grand coeur.

My sincere condolences on the passing of your dear Dad. I didn’t know him that well but my husband, Norman and Jim were friends and Norman did business with him through Co-op for probably as long as your Dad sold insurance.
Norm often spoke of Jim, so I felt I also knew him. We often ran into each other at Shoppers or church, and he always stopped to chat and always inquired how Norman was making out. He was a friendly and kind person, always a tease, much like my husband. He will be missed.
