In Loving Memory Of
Albert Nowlan

Dieppe, NB – Albert Nowlan, 96, passed away peacefully, at the Moncton Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, August 20, 2015.

Born in Bouctouche, NB, he was the son of the late Alexandre and Marie Blanche Nowlan (nee Melanson).

During WWII Albert was in the RCAF and worked as an Airframe Mechanic at the No. 4 repair depot in Scoudouc. In 1946 he moved to Dieppe where he owned and operated Dieppe Auto Body until 1965 then taking on a job as carman at the Canadian National Railways in Moncton. After retirement in 1983 he was very much involved in volunteer work with various community and religious organizations.

Albert will be sadly missed by his wife, Marie Rose Nowlan (nee LeBlanc) of Dieppe, lately of Shediac; by his three sons, Clarence (late Jacqueline) of Pré-d’en-Haut, Roger (Rosie) of Gatineau QC and Robert (Émerise) of Moncton; by his two daughters, Marie Boudreau (Albion) of Dieppe and Bernadette Mills (Ron) of Moncton; by his sister, Maria Anita Mallenby (late George) of Victoria, BC; by his thirteen grandchildren, Serge, Michael, Elizabeth, Linda, Susan, Mélanie, Jeremy, Isabelle, Martin, Mélanie, Rosalie, Solange and Nicole; by his eleven great grandchildren; and by his several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Albert was predeceased by his son, Yvon in 2004; by his three sisters, Eva Hébert (nee Goguen), Nora Maxwell and Irène Poirier; by his five brothers, Arias Goguen, Arthur, Antoine, André and Fred.

Visitation will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Sunday, August 23rd, 2015 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There will be no visitation at the funeral home on Monday, August 24th, 2015. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus, 160 Ste-Thérèse Street, Dieppe on Monday, August 24th, 2015 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in Dieppe.

Donations to the Heart & Stroke, Canadian Cancer Society or to the ICCANB, Albert, Westmorland & Kent County would be appreciated by the family.
