St-Antoine, NB – Alcide Bastarache, 86, passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, May 15, 2017, after a brief illness.
Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Guillaume and Béatrice (Pellerin) Bastarache.
Alcide will be sadly missed by his girlfriend, Yvonne; his brother, Alphonse (Thérèse) of St-Paul; his three sisters, Alexina Boucher (Donald) of Bouctouche, Rosita Breau (Édouard) of St-Paul and Jeanita Breau (Guy) of Moncton; also by several cousins, nieces, nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Rosella; three brothers, Hector, Gérard and Noël; his two sisters, Domelda and Mable.
Visitations will be at St-Antoine l’Ermite slumber room in St-Antoine, on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm and from 5:30 pm until time of funeral service at St-Antoine l’Ermite RC Church at 7 pm. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the CHU Dumont Foundation (Oncology) or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
