Grande-Digue, NB – Alcide Leger, 87, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, July 24, 2014, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Grande-Digue, NB, he was the son of the late Aquila and Zélica (Cormier) Leger.
Alcide will be sadly missed by his wife, Annette (Hébert) Leger; his two sons, Vincent (Tammy) of Riverview and Dollard (Jacqueline and her daughter Kateline) of Shediac; his daughter, Lucie of Dieppe; his brother, Léandre (Lorraine) of Shediac; his two sisters, Ozelie Caissie (late Raoul) and Laurinna Donelle (late Edgar) both of Grande-Digue; his two grandchildren, Jacob and Brooke; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one daughter, Cécile and one sister, Dorice.
Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Sunday, July 27 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. There will be no visitations on Monday morning. Funeral Mass will be held at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Monday, July 28 at 11 am.
