ALFRED BASTARACHE

Alfred Bastarache, 83, of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 9th, 2020 at the Dr. Georges.L.-Dumont University Hospital Center in Moncton. Born is Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Lévi and late Dora (née Gallant) Bastarache.

 

He had worked 25 years in Massachusetts upon his return to New Brunswick he became a member of the Golden Age Club in St.Philippe and enjoyed darts at both the Moncton and St.Philippe clubs. He also enjoyed traveling and bowling with his friends at Dieppe Bollarama and Fairlaine’s, as well as driving his motorcycle until the age of 79. His second passion was playing cards (200) with his friends at Champlain Place in Dieppe.

He is survived by his wife: Obeline (Arsenault-Cormier) Bastarache; his daughter: Louise (Steven Eagan) Lombardo of Salem Mass; his step-daughter: Cindy (Jason Dobson of Moncton; his step-daughter-in-law:Jennifer Cormier; his step-son Jeremiah “Jeremy” Cormier of St.-Philippe; his sister Mary (late Alyre) DesRoche of Moncton; his brother-in-law Albert (late Célina) of Irishtown; his grandchild Charles Fredrick Lambardo of Texas, USA; his five step- grandchildren: Nikita, Alexia, Sebastien, Joseph “Joey”,  Patricia and their mother, Jennifer Morrisey; his great grandchild Kayle; his god daughter Patricia “Patsy” Gilette; his god son Armand Vautour; and also by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his first wife: Louise Duplessie; his infant son; his sister Célina Landry; and two infant brothers: Antoine and Denis; his brother-in-law Alyre DesRoches and his niece Jessica Jaillette.

 

Due to the Coronavirus there will not be any visitation and funeral.

A private graveside service will take place at St.Philippe parish cemetery on Friday October 16th, 2020 at 2:00 pm. The graveside service will be broadcast live through our facebook page: Maison funéraire Chartersville Funeral Home.

Alfred Bastarache, 83 ans, de Moncton, est décédé paisiblement le vendredi 9 octobre, 2020 au Centre hospitalier universitaire Dr-Georges.L.-Dumont à Moncton. Né à Moncton, NB, il était le fils de feu Lévi et de feu Dora (née Gallant) Bastarache.

 

Il avait travaillé 25 ans au Massachusetts à son retour au Nouveau-Brunswick, il est devenu membre du Golden Age Club à Saint-Philippe et a apprécié les fléchettes aux clubs de Moncton et de Saint-Philippe. Il aimait aussi voyager et jouer aux quilles avec ses amis à Dieppe Bollarama et Fairlaines, ainsi que conduire sa moto jusqu’à l’âge de 79 ans. Sa deuxième passion était de jouer aux cartes (200) avec ses amis à la Place Champlain à Dieppe.

Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse: Obeline (Arsenault-Cormier) Bastarache; sa fille Louise (Steven Eagan) Lombardo de Salem Mass; sa belle-fille Cindy (Jason Dobson de Monctonsa; son beau-fils Jeremiah «Jeremy» Cormier de Saint-Philippe; sa sœur Mary (feu Alyre) DesRoche de Moncton; son beau-frère Albert (feu Célina) de Irishtown; son petit-fils Charles Fredrick Lambardo du Texas, États-Unis; ses cinq beaux-petits-enfants: Nikita, Alexia, Sébastien, Joseph «Joey», Patricia et leur mère, Jennifer Morrisey; sa arrière-petite-fille Kayle; sa filleule Patricia “Patsy” Gilette; son filleul Armand Vautour; ainsi que plusieurs nièces, neveux, cousins et cousines.

Outre ses parents, il fut prédécédé par sa première épouse Louise Duplessie; son fils bébé; sa sœur Célina Landry; et deux petits frères: Antoine et Denis; son beau-frère Alyre DesRoches et sa nièce Jessica Jaillette.

 

En raison du coronavirus, il n’y aura pas de visites et de funérailles.

Un service privé au cimetière aura lieu au cimetière paroissial de Saint-Philippe le vendredi 16 octobre 2020 à 14h00. Le service funéraire sera retransmis en direct sur notre page facebook: Maison funéraire Chartersville Funeral Home.
