Dieppe, NB – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alice Marie Gagnon, on September 27, 2023, at the Residence Oasis d’Or Special Care Home in Dieppe, New Brunswick.

Born in Shediac River, NB, Alice was the daughter of the late Alyre and Rosée Babineau. She was one of eight children including Roger, Oscar, Father Edmour, Laurie, Henri, Généva, and Flora.

She was predeceased by her husband, Christian Gagnon from Rivière Bleue, Québec, her sister, Généva Boudreau and her brother Laurie Babineau.

Alice loved nature, and going out for coffee with family and friends, where she would delight in discussing current events of the day. She was an independant person, conscientious of healthy life habits, and always willing to play a game of cards.

Alice loved to be with her family, and she will be greatly missed by her seven children: Janet (George), Pauline (Lawrence), Lynn (Dale). Johanne (Kevin), Christine (Michael), Dénis (Pauline), and Martin (Sonia); her 10 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

There will be a private celebration of life held at a later date.

  5. To the Gagnon family. Your mom was a special woman who faced life’s joys with smiles and laughter and life’s challenges with strength and determination. She raised some pretty great children and was loved by their fiends and extended family as well. My sincere condolences, as well as those of my family.

  15. Alice, You were missed at the building at 30 Sifroi Court. I miss seeing you walk around. I did go see you before the pendamic. You always had a beautiful smile. I always talk to your brother Father Edmour and ask him how you were. May you rest in peace sweetie.

  16. Unfortunately I did not have the pleasure of meeting Mrs Gagnon. I have known her son Denis, for quite sometime and can say she raised a gentleman and great friend. Her time on earth is completed but her memories will live on. Condolences to the family.
