It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alice Richard, 98, on Saturday, November 18th, 2023, at the Castel Des Flots Bleus Residence in Cap-Pelé.
Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Alban and the late Suzanne Cormier Lirette (Richard).
Alice will be sadly missed by her four sons: Maurice (Linda) of Bas Cap-Pelé, Gérard (Annette), André (Jacqueline), and Daniel (Gisèle) all of Cap-Pelé; her sisters: Irma (Joe) McMillan of Chilliwack, BC, Anna (Harold) Babin of Arichat, NS, Lucia (late Albéo) LeBlanc of Ste-Anne-de-Kent, Noëlla (late Gerald) Cormier of Moncton, Andréa (Roger) Caissie of Mass, USA, and Rose Mai (Eugène) Cormier of Moncton; her grandchildren: Chris, Niki, Rémi, Martin, Andy, Mélanie, Natalie, Marc, and Samuel; her great grandchildren: Sylvain, Kyana, Cédric, Amélie, Zachary, Zoey, Haley, Jordan, Félix, Mélissa, Marissa, Dax, Emmy, and Théo; her great great granddaughter, Audrey; three sisters-in-law, Yolande, Yvonne, and Louise; her brother-in-law, Roméo; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Adélard; two infant daughters: Jeannita and Pauline; four brothers: Léo, Paul, Aquila (late Pauline), and Edouard; her sister, Lilianne Brun; as well as her infant sister, Lilianne.
Alice was loved by everyone she would meet. She will be dearly missed.
A special thank you to all the staff at the Castel Des Flots Bleus Residence, the Extra Mural nurses, Dr. Rhéal Boudreau, and to Dr. Marc Cormier for the care they have provided over the years.
Visitations will be held in the mortuary room of Ste-Thérèse d’Avila RC Church (2648 Acadie Rd, Cap-Pelé) on Thursday, November 23rd, 2023 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm until 9:00pm. A funeral service will be held in the church on Friday, November 24th, 2023 at 10:30am.
Donations in memory of Alice can be made to a charity of your choice.
