Moncton – Aline Melanson, 86, of Protem Health Services, passed away, on Sunday, February 6th, 2022, at her residence.
Born in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, NB, she was the daughter of the late Dan and the late Azélie (LeBlanc) McDonald.
Mrs. Melanson was an avid reader, knitter and quilted blanket maker, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Ginette Leger (Serge Clavet) of Bouctouche; her step-daughter, Lauria Robichaud (Normand LeBlanc) of Cocagne; her daughter-in-law, Paula Leger of Waltham, Mass; her grandchildren: Josée Aline, François (Tara), Anna, Nicolas, Matthew, Daniell, Denny (Michèle) and Angèle (Rémi); her great grandchildren: Julie, Nathalie, Justin, Eric and Annabelle; her sister, Jeannita Cormier of Bouctouche; his brothers: Daniel McDonald (Jeanne) of Cocagne and Ronald McDonald (Jeannita) of Bouctouche, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Laurie Melanson; her children: Bernard, Claude, Reggie and Lisa; her sisters: Bessie, Edna and Helene and by her brothers: Camille, Johnny, Emerie, Michael and Roger.
Due to Covid-19 regulations, proof of vaccination, government ID, mask will be required, funeral home and church can only operate at 50% capacity.
Visitation will be held from Passage – Chartersville, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (506-857-1901), on Thursday, February 10th, 2022, from 6 pm to 8 pm and on Friday, February 11th, 2022, from 9:30 am until time of departure (10:25 am).
Funeral mass will be held from Notre-Dame-de-Grâce RC Church, Moncton, on Friday, February 11th, 2022, at 11 am.
