Haut-Saint-Antoine, NB – It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Alonzo Allain, 93, on Thursday, June 25th, 2026, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB.
Born in Saint-Antoine, he was the son of the late Alphée and the late Marie (Goguen) Allain.
Alonzo enjoyed farming and retired as a janitor with the Université de Moncton.
He will be deeply missed by his children: Jeannette Leger of Haut-Saint-Antoine, Odette LeBlanc (Emery) and Jean Allain (Joanne), both of Bouctouche; by his grandchildren: Sylvie, Jasmine, (and their father, Denis), Richard, Charles, Rémi and Réjean; by his great grandchildren: Ana, Noa, Alia, Zack, Nate, Océane and Théo; by his brothers; Georges-Alfred Allain (Aline) of Bouctouche and Albert Allain (Vicky) of Cocagne, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Dorice (LeBlanc) Allain; by his sisters: Rita, Alida, Claira, Dora and Stella and by his brothers: Laurie and Clarence.
Visitation will be held from Saint-Antoine-de-l’Ermite RC Church Slumber Room, 24 de l’Église Avenue, Saint-Antoine, NB, on Tuesday, June 30th, 2026, from 1 pm to 2:45 pm, followed by the funeral mass at 3 pm.
The burial will take place in the Parish Cemetery after the funeral.
