Alyre Cormier, 84, of Portage, NB, passed away on Saturday, June 17th, 2023, at his residence.
Born in Cap-Pelé, NB, he was the son of the late Damien and the late Anna (Goguen) Cormier.
Prior to his retirement, he worked at Cape Bald Packers and Downeast Plastics in Cap-Pelé. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to his camp and carpentry work.
He is survived by his spouse of 42 years, Diane Landry; his children: Ronald (Nicole) of Cap-Pelé, Michel (Linda) of Trois-Ruisseaux and Ginette Boudreau (Gilles) of Portage; his granddaughters: Jennifer and Stéphanie; his great granddaughter, Brooklyn and by his sister, Alfreda LeBlanc (Arice) of Shediac.
He was predeceased by his brother, Gérard Cormier.
A special thank you to Diane, Stéphanie and Gilles, to the nurses and staff of the Shediac Extra-Mural for the excellent care given to Alyre during his illness.
No visitation prior to the funeral.
Funeral mass will be held from Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila RC Church, Cap-Pelé, on Thursday, June 22nd, 2023 at 10:30 am.
Interment will be in the columbarium of the Parish Cemetery, Cap-Pelé.
