Alyre Goguen

Cocagne, NB – Alyre Goguen, 73, passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, March 5, 2018.

Born in Cocagne, NB, he was the son of the late Paul and Élise (LeBlanc) Goguen.
Alyre loved his job as a farmer on the family farm and liked to play cards. Alyre had a good heart and was kind to everyone.

Alyre will be missed by his three brothers, Hervé (Yvette) of Shediac, Gérard and Oscar (Gloria) both of Cocagne; his three sisters, Claudette Robichaud (late Conrad) of Moncton, Maria Dupuis (Allain) of Cocagne and Sylvia LeBreton (Mario) of Tracadie; his nieces and nephews, Tanya, Nadia, Marc, Nadine, Mathieu, Enrico, Jonathan, Joël, Joshua and Catherine; his second mother, Simonne (Boudreau) Goguen of Shediac; also by several cousins and friends.

Visitations will be held at the slumber room in St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church, on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 9 am until time of funeral service at St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church at 11 am. Reception will follow at “Centre 50”.

In lieu of flowers, donations to “Seuil de l’Espoir”, Parish of Cocagne or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Rhéal Boudreau and Unit 4C of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC for their good care, the nuns of “Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur”, formerly of Bouctouche, especially SR. Sophie and SR. Yolande and SR. Huberte.
