Alyre Hébert

Moncton, NB – Alyre Hébert, 93, passed away peacefully at Veterans Health Centre, Moncton, on Thursday, March 24th, 2016.

Born in Acadieville, NB, he was the son of the late Willie and the late Délina Hébert (nee Caissie).

Alyre was a veteran of the Second World War. He was the last founding member of the Dieppe Military Veterans Association, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 43, Bouctouche, NB also a member of the Golden Age Club, Dieppe. Alyre was a volunteer Fire Firefighter with the city of Dieppe, he retired from the City of Dieppe in the public works department.

Alyre will be missed by his daughter, Marie Belliveau (Michel) of Scarborough, ON; by his son, Normand Hébert (Isabelle) of Tottenham, ON; by his son-in-law, Gérald Boucher of Moncton; by his three sisters, Adrienne Robichaud (Yvon) of Edmundston, NB, Géraldine Doucette (late Alexis) of Collette, NB and Aldina Vautour (late Gérard) of Collette, NB; by his three grandchildren, Michelle Hébert-Allain (Roméo), Tina Colangelo (Tony) and Ian Belliveau; by his six great-grandchildren, Luc, Mario, André, Joseph, Michael and Victoria; Alyre is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Alyre was predeceased by his first wife, Anita Hébert (nee Saulnier), by his second wife, Aline Hébert (nee Allain), by his daughter, Pauline Hébert, by his three sisters, Irène Gaudet, Délianne Thebeau and Élise Saulnier, by his brother, Johnny Hébert.

Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road (corner West Lane), Moncton on Tuesday, March 29th 2016 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and on Wednesday from 9:15 am to 10:15am. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Sainte-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus RC Church, 160 Sainte-Thérèse Street, Dieppe on Wednesday, March 30th, 2016 at 11:00am. Burial will be held at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe later in the spring.

Donations to the Dieppe Military Veterans Association or the Golden Age Club, Dieppe would be appreciated by the family.
