Amédée Bastarache, 71 of Sainte-Marie de Kent, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at his home on Saturday April 12th, 2014. He was married to Annette (Maillet) Bastarache. Born in Saint-Norbert, he was the son of the late Fred and the late Rita (Roy) Bastarache.
He was a heavy equipment operator.
Amédée will be sadly missed by his wife Annette, his three children: Linda Maillet (André) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Dorice Bastarache (Rob Kirkpatrick) of White Rock, BC and Guy (Sylvie) of Saint-Antoine, his five grandchildren; Daniel, Anika, Monique, Lucas and Mylène. He also leaves to mourn two brothers; Ronald of Gardner, MA and Alonzo of Sainte-Marie de Kent.
He was predeceased by one sister, Alfreda and four brothers; Joseph Eric at birth, Eric, Donat and Aldéo.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Wednesday April 16th, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral Mass will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Church, Sainte-Marie de Kent on Thursday April 17th, 2014 at 10:00 am with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Amédée’s memory donations may be made to the NB Extra Mural or to the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Parish Fund.
