St-Philippe – It is with profound sadness we say goodbye to Andre Eugene Joseph Bourgeois of Grande-Digue, NB. Andre left this world suddenly on September 27th, 2024, leaving a void in the lives of so many people.

He was predeceased by his father Thomas Bourgeois. He will be dearly missed by his mother Beverly (Duffy) Bourgeois of Moncton, along with his brother Christopher and sister Lisa.

As a child, Andre enjoyed playing hockey and hanging out with friends. He loved his animals and family as well. He spent a lot of time working with his dad on the farm. In his teens, Motorsports were a big part of his life. He always had a love for the ocean. Later on in life, he would incorporate that love into his own charter business. Andre could accomplish anything he set his mind to. He was driven, resilient, hard working, and always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.

A great son, brother, and friend to many. His presence will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Home in Shediac Bridge, NB this Friday, October 4th from 1-4pm followed by a celebration of life.

My times spent with you all every summer working on the farm or hanging out at the wharf had a major impact on my life and make up the core memories of my childhood. I’ll never forget the times we had together as a family and may you have peace.

  16. It is with great sadness that our brother Andre has taken a tasking beyond the seas we normally sail, as a member of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary, Zone 2 he will be missed, Safe sailing Andre, till our ships meet again!

    I only knew you for a couple years and in that short time the kindness and hospitality that you showed me my wife and kids just goes to show what kind of a wonderful and charismatic person you were.

  50. I always enjoyed my interactions with André which always ended with a laugh, and with having learned something new that he shared. He had great problem solving skills and a resolution to get the job done. Everyone was better with André around.

I will always cherish the time spent together when I (we) go down in the summer . Your son’s amazing personality, hard work, love of love and the ocean … words cannot express how I feel right now but I do have a feeling that your loving family and solid friends will be a great source of strength … to walk through this time together.

    My sincere condolences. Andre was sometimes my partner in defence at hockey. He was a great partner and we would talk often about hunting and fishing and canoeing. He was a tough, hard working, genuine person and a really cool guy. Take care

  79. Dearest Bev, I am so sorry for your great loss! To lose a son, especially in this way would take away a measure of a mother’s happiness but try not let it rob you of your joy which God gives us. I have two grown sons and a daughter and to lose one would be crushing.
    Over time you will remember the good that Andre brought to you and your family. I know this because I lost my sister to cancer when she was only 37. All our days are numbered and she did much during her short time on this earth just as Andre did. I believe that she is in a better place with Jesus.
    I have been thinking of you ever since this senseless tragedy and I am praying that you will sense the peace of God that passes all understanding. May God bless you all!
