Saint-Paul-de-Kent — At her residence, on January 15, 2026, Andréa Vallée (née Léger) passed away peacefully at the age of 70, following a courageous battle with cancer that lasted nearly five years.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Clermont Vallée, with whom she would have celebrated 42 years of marriage on January 20, as well as her two sons: Jean-Marc (Jennifer) and Mathieu (Marie-Josée). She will be deeply missed by her four grandchildren, whom she cherished with all her heart: Chloe, Vincent, Sophie, and Zoey.
She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Anna Maillet (Aldéo) of Strathroy, Ontario; Aline Bédard (Jean-Paul)of Pierrefonds, Quebec; Germaine Landry (Normand) of Memramcook; Lucille LeBlanc (Adrien) of Saint-Antoine; Bernard Léger, Marianne Léger, Jean-Paul Léger (Brenda), and Aldéo Léger (Micheline), all of Saint-Paul, as well as several nieces and nephews, including her special goddaughter Carole, and many members of the extended family.
She was predeceased by her father, Jean “Johnny” Léger; her mother, Rose Léger (née Julien); her brother Edmond Léger; and her sister Jeanne Légère (late Joseph).
Andréa worked for several years at Le Havre des Services Communautaire as a home care aide. She will be remembered for her big heart, her generosity, and her deep desire to help others.
The deceased and her family wish to express their sincere gratitude to the CHU Dumont Oncology Centre and its entire staff, especially Dr. Robyn Comeau, Dr. Joel Gray, Dr. Skander Ghedira, and Dr. Carl St-Amand, for their compassionate and professional care. The family also thanks the Extra-Mural Program team for the attentive care provided at home.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private celebration of life will be held in her honour.

Andrea is my cousin as my mother Helen Leger was Johnny Leger’s younger sister. We spent many happy times in the summer in St. Paul with Johnny and David’s children. If I am not mistaken, Andrea lived in my grandmother’s old home beside Johnny’s place. My grandmother was Suzanne Leger and she lived there in summer and stayed with her children in Saint John and Chipman in winter. Sincerest condolences to the family from a cousin in Saint John.
