Grande-Digue, NB – Anida Léger, 98, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, July 9, 2013.
Born in Grande-Digue on May 30, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Evariste and late Mélina (Léger) Hébert.
Anida will be sadly missed by her adopted son, Charles (Marie-Mai) of Bouctouche Bay; five brothers, Pierre Hébert (Jeanne), Wilfred Hébert (Jeannine), Yvon Hébert (Géraldine), Laurie Hébert (Laudia) and Adrien Hébert (Dora) all of Grande-Digue; four sisters, Viola Gallant (Alyre), Rita Surette (Léo-Paul), Doris Caissie (Normand) and Annette Léger (Alcide) all of Grande-Digue; four grandchildren, Charles Junior, Roxann, Jacinthe and Anise; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alonzo (1973), one brother, Théodule and three sisters, Germaine, Bernadette and Eva-Mai.
Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Friday, July 12th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and on Saturday, July 13th from 9:30 till 10:30 am. Funeral service will be held at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Saturday, July 13th at 11:00 am.
Donations to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
