Grande-Digue, NB – Anita Caissie, 89, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, July 23, 2013.
Born in Shediac River on June 18, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Alyre and Alma (Léger) Babineau.
Anita will be sadly missed by her son Roland Caissie of Grande-Digue; her seven daughters, Diane Arsenault (Léonard), Lucia Vautour (Ronald), Bernice Caissie, all of Shediac; Marguerite M. Pellerin (Alcide) of Notre Dame, Cécile Gautreau (David), Francine Vautour (Roland), both of Grande-Digue, Roberte Caissie (Ray Simpson) of Cocagne; her eight grandchildren, Paul, Ronald, Joanne, Conrad, Daniel, Angèle, Vanessa, Tanya; her five great grandchildren, Jeremy, Gabrielle, Zacharie, Gabrièle, Alexa; her two step great grandchildren, Joslain, Sébastien; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert (2005), one brother, Yvon and one sister, Germaine.
Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Thursday, July 25, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Friday morning, July 26, from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral mass will be held at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Friday, July 26 at 11 am.
Donation to the NB Lung Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
