Bouctouche, NB – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anita LeBlanc, wife of the late Laurie LeBlanc of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, who passed away on November 20, 2025, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, at the age of 97. She was the daughter of the late Denis Landry and the late Éléonore (Richard) Landry.
Anita was a devoted homemaker and a loving mother who dedicated her life to raising her nine children. She was also a woman of deep Christian faith.
She is survived by her five daughters: Bernice (Maurice) Cormier and Noëlla Goguen, both of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent; Andréa (Alfred) Babineau of Bouctouche; and Diane (Richard) LeBlanc and Patsy LeBlanc, both of Moncton. She is also survived by her three sons: Roger (Claudette) LeBlanc and Paul (Anita) LeBlanc, both of Bouctouche, and Normand LeBlanc of Shediac; as well as her daughter-in-law Noëlla (late Donald) LeBlanc.
Anita is also survived by her two sisters: Florence (Eugère) LeBlanc of Bouctouche, and Émilienne Maillet (late Roméo) of Montreal, QC.
She leaves behind 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Laurie LeBlanc (2014), her son Donald (2011), and her siblings Rudolph and Bernice, her stepfather Johnny Babineau along with several half brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held at the Sainte-Marie-de-Kent Slumber Room on Tuesday, November 25, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., followed by the funeral Mass at 4:00 p.m. in the church. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery in the spring.
The family would like to give thanks to Dr Bernard Godin for his exceptional care, the nurses with the Extra-Mural Program and the staff at Foyer Pauline.
And a special thank you to her niece Norma LeBlanc for taking good care of her during her last years.
