Shediac River, NB– It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Richard, 85, of Shediac River, NB, on Sunday, March 9th, 2025, at The Moncton Hospital.
Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Edward and the late Marie Horan.
She is survived by her loving husband, Albert Richard; by her sons: Gregory (Debbie), Darren (Tania), Kevin (Carey) and Christopher; by her sisters: Bernice (late Val) Boudreau and Connie (Milt) Webb; by her grandchildren; Rebecca, Julie, Jonathan, Nicolas, Domenic and Jacob.
She was predeceased by her sisters; Shirley (Edmond) Richard, Dorothy (Bob) Dupuis and Carole (Reg) Spencer as well as her brother Ronald (Cam) Horan.
Ann was a devoted mother, her love for her family was unwavering, and she found great joy in every moment spent with her children and grandchildren who will carry her memory with them forever.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the compassionate medical staff at The Moncton Hospital, as well as the extra mural nurses for their dedicated care during Ann’s final weeks, their kindness and support brought comfort to Ann and her family during these difficult times.
Funeral service will be held at La Visitation, RC Church (Grande-Digue Church, 416 NB- 530, Grande-Digue, NB E4R 5K3) on Friday, March 14th, at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Canadian Down Syndrome Society or The Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Condolences to Albert and Family
Ann and I formed a friendship at a very young age and kept in touch for most of our lives regardless what part of the country we lived. We had many good times and shared a lot of good meals(especially the vegetables and fruit she and Albert grew in their BIG garden).
Ann was a true friend who was always there to listen and comfort you. I will miss you and your lovely smile my friend.
