Anna Bastarache, 95, of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, on Friday August 5, 2016. She was married to the late Ernée Bastarache (2007). Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Maxime and the late Marianne (Cormier) Pellerin.
She will be sadly missed by her nine children; Annette Martin (George) of Harvard, Mass, Aldéa Surette of Shediac River, Aurelie Bastarache, Lucille Tidd (Bob), Valda Poirier all of Moncton, Rosella Petitpas, Ariste (Lise), Raymond and Léonide (Janice) all of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, her fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn one brother Euclide (Diana) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent as well as several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by one son in infancy, Joseph Ariste, one grandson Kevin, one sister Henriette, five brothers; Abel, Livain, Néri, Albert, Emerie and one adoptive brother Emerie.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame de Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie-de-Kent on Monday August 8, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent on Monday August 8, 2016 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.
In Anna’s memory donations may be made to the CHUDUMONT Foundation.
