In Loving Memory Of
Anna Edith Pineau
July 9, 2015

Fredericton, NB – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anna Edith Pineau at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at the age of 83.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Edith (Geddes) Johnston and they moved to Moncton when she was only three months old and grew up here.

Anna will be sadly missed by her husband Alvin Pineau of PEI whom she married on February 19, 1954, he’s currently living in Fredericton; her children, Nancy Pineau, Janet Campbell both of Fredericton, Jim (Joe) of Moncton and Brenda Dawson (Stephen) of Fredericton; her two grandsons, Adam Campbell (Kim) of Centreville, NB and Troy Campbell (Sharon) of Brampton, ON; her great granddaughter, Lennon Campbell of Brampton, ON; her brother, Ralph Johnston (Dianne) of Bass River, NB; also by several niece and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her five year old daughter, Carol Anne; her brother, Donald and his wife Dorothy.

Anna had many friends over the years who helped her enjoy life and kept her laughing. She also had a very special young lady in her life, Rebbecca (Becky) Taylor, (Nancy’s “Little Sister”) who has been an important part of our family for the past 16 years. Anna loved life, her family, her home and garden and enjoyed her many dear friends. She loved the ocean where she grew up, met her husband and returned with her family year after year. She loved to cook for her family and friends and always wanted a houseful of people, children and pets. She loved music and we spent many hours listening to her favorites while in the hospital.

In keeping with Anna’s wishes there will be no visitation at the funeral home and no funeral service. A graveside service will be held at the Elmwood Cemetery in Moncton, on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 11 am for all who wish to attend.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Special thanks to the nurses of 4SE and Palliative Care. Also to the wonderful girls of “We Care” who lovingly cared for both Mum and Dad over the past 3 years and to the caregivers at Terraces on Cliffe who helped make her days so pleasant during the 3 months that she was living there.

The family invites you to sign an online book of condolences at: www.funerairepassagefuneral.ca.
