Grande-Digue, NB – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Boudreau, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, April 8th, 2026, at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Shediac, NB, she was the daughter of the late Robert and the late Bernadette (Bourgeois) LeBlanc.
Her home was always a place of warmth, laughter, and acceptance where the door was always open a true reflection of the love she gave so freely. Many were touched by mom and dad’s hospitality whenever they needed. Whether through shared meals, heartfelt conversations, she created lasting memories that will live on in the hearts of her family. Christmas was always a big event in the Boudreau household. Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and devotion to family and her faith. Though she is no longer with us, her influence and the lessons she passed on will continue to guide those she leaves behind. A passionate and caring nurse, her devotion lead her to dedicate 25 years at the Villa Providence until her retirement. Her patients were often part of family meals and gatherings. She was a tireless volunteer for over 20 years at the Oncology department at the Georges Dumont Hospital. She was the first woman elected to Shediac town council in the early 1970’s.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Louis Boudreau; by her son, Marcel Boudreau (Carole) of Dieppe; by her daughter, Louanne Boudreau (Cléo Savoie) of Dieppe; she held a uniquely special bond with her grandchild, Chanelle (Sylvain), whom she raised; by her grandchildren: Kenneth (Laurence), Anika (Eric) and Nico (Laurence); by her great grandchildren: Xavier, Cédric, Alicia and Brooke; by her sisters: Bella Smith (Robert) of Grande-Digue, Yvette Goguen (Hervé) of Shediac, Denise Doiron (Oliver) of Cap-Pelé and Terry Richard (late Maurice) of Shediac Bridge; by her brothers: Bernard LeBlanc (Charlotte) and Michel LeBlanc (Muriel), both of Shediac; she was loved by many nieces and nephews and held a special bond with Brigitte and Suzanne.
She was predeceased by her beloved son André at Christmas of 1989, an event that profoundly impacted her life; also, by her sisters: Murielle and Anita and by her brother, Bob.
A very special thank you to her sister-in-law, Murielle and sister, Bella for the countless hours spent taking care of Anne, also would like to thank the palliative care unit at the Moncton City Hospital for the excellent care.
Visitation will be held from Passage, 3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge, NB, (506) 532-1050, on Sunday, April 12th, 2026, from 7 to 9 pm and, on Monday, April 13th, 2026, from 9 am to 10:30 am.
Funeral mass will be held from La Visitation RC Church, Grande-Digue, on Monday, April 13th, 2026, at 11 am.
Burial will take place in St-Joseph Parish Cemetery, Shediac, NB, in the spring of 2026.
In Anne’s memory, a donation can be made to Multiple Sclerosis or to Pépére Boite à Lunch.

I was so sorry to hear of Ann’s passing.I trained with her @HDA in Moncton many years ago and always thought of her as a friend and a very caring nurse. Her patients loved her ,and she always went “that extra mile” for them. She will be so missed by all who knew her. My Condolences to Louie,Marcel,and Louanne and all her immediate family. Her obiturary says it all!
