ANNE STEVENSON

Anne Stevenson, 80, of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Thursday, December 19th, 2013, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center.

Born in Halifax, NS, she was the daughter of the late Earl and the late Margaret (née: Hines) Sweeney.

Prior to retirement, Mrs. Stevenson was a federal public service employee; she was a member of the CWL, the St. Bernard’s parish and the Legion Branch # 6.

She is survived by her husband, Grant Stevenson; one son, Hilary (Shelley) Mombourquette of Sylvan Lake, AB; one step-son, Craig (Vera) Stevenson of Toronto, ON; one brother, Joe Sweeney of Toronto, ON; two grandchildren: Misty and Napoleon; three great grandchildren: Leah, Xavier and Elliott, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her 1st husband, Joe Mombourquette and also by two brothers: Earl and Michael.

Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, (857-1901) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.

Funeral mass will be celebrated from St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, Moncton, NB on Monday, December 23rd, 2013 at 11 am.

Donations to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

The family wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff Extra Mural Blanche Bourgeois unit and the palliative care unit of the Dr. G.-L.-Dumont hospital for the excellent care given and also to all those who offered prayers and phone calls.
