In Loving Memory Of
Annette Elizabeth Richard
1939 ~ 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Annette Richard (Gueguen) on January 31st, 2024, with her family by her side, at the Villa Providence in Shediac.

She was born in Moncton on March 12th, 1939, to the late Aurèle and Marie Gueguen (LeBlanc).

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Roger.

Annette is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Réginald Richard; two daughters: Anne (Maurice) and Denise (Ken); two sons: Marc (Paula) and Gilles; seven grandchildren: Mathieu, Stephanie, Ryan, Melanie, Renée, Alex, and Jake; four great grandchildren: Sarah, Chloe, Madelaine, and George; as well as her sister, Murielle Burton.

Annette was a graduate of Notre Dame d’Acadie and found her first job as a veterinary receptionist. Through family moves and job transfers, Annette and Reg settled in Fredericton where she worked at the Fredericton Co-op for many years. If you knew Annette, your life would be enriched by her infectious smile, caring demeanor, and outgoing personality, she was sure to light up any room. She loved life, her family, traveling, bowling, and community. Reg and Annette retired to their family summer home in Grande-Digue where she found her passion volunteering at the Centre. She received various certificates and awards, but the project she was most proud of was implementing and supporting the apple pie fundraiser, which continues to this day, to raise money for the Tree of Hope, a charity close to her heart.

In respect to the family’s wishes, there will be no visitations. A funeral service will take place on Monday, February 5th, 2024, at Passage Funeral Co-op (3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge) at 11:00am.

Donations in memory of Annette can be made to the Tree of Hope or to a charity of your choice.
