Born in Painsec, NB, he was the son of the late Dionus and the late Zélica Babin (nee Melanson).
Anselme was a sincere honest individual who was devoted to his late wife (over 60 years married) and to his family. A farmer all his life, he still worked on his farm and cut his own firewood until February 2015. He was very interested in genealogy. He enjoyed reading and felt he could always learn something by reading.
Anselme will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Paulette Green (David) of Meadow Brook and Denise Babin of Greater Lakeburn; by his two sons, Bernard (Corinne) and Charles (Rhonda) both of Greater Lakeburn; by his brother, Roger Babin (Lucille) of Shediac; by his two sisters, Lorraine Gautreau (late Armand) of Shediac, Rita Boudreau (late Léonard) of Quispamsis; by his four precious grandchildren, Stephanie, Julie (Jamie), Jessica and Luc; by his great granddaughter, Emily; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Anselme was predeceased by his wife, Joyce Babin (nee LeBlanc) (2014) his son, Terrance (2006), by his sister, Stella (2010), by his 3 brothers, Léo (1991), Émile (2001), Raymond (2003), by an infant brother, Anselme and by an infant sister, Rita.
Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Sunday, November 15th, 2015 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. There will be no visitation the morning of the funeral.
Funeral Mass will be held at the Notre-Dame-de-Lorette RC Church in Lakeburn (1542 rue Champlain) on Monday, November 16th, 2014 at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, donation to Heart & Stroke Foundation or Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur parish cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
