Antoine Babineau, 86, of Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Saint-Louis, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Villa on Monday June 6, 2016. He was married to the late Lorraine Thériault (2008). Born in Saint-Louis, he was the son of the late Pierre Babineau and the late Mélanie Daigle.
Antoine was well known in the community for his years of employment in the hardware department at the Saint-Louis Co-Op.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Chantal Gaudet (Marcel) of Haute-Aboujagane, his granddaughter Carlynn, his sister Ida Landry of Saint-Louis and a brother Napoléon (Lilianne) of Leominster, MA, as well as several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by one sister Marie and five brothers; Luc, David, Pierre, Sylveste and Xavier.
Visitations will be held at Thompson’s Memorial Home, Saint-Louis on Thursday June 9, 2016 from 7 to 9:00 pm. There will be no visitation at the funeral home on Friday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday June 10, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Saint-Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Louis, with the interment in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of Flowers, donations in Antione’s memory may be made to the Saint-Louis parish cemetery.
