Moncton – Antoine “Toney” Cormier, 74, of Moncton, passed away, on Tuesday, April 5th, 2022, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton.
Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Clarence and the late Donalda (Mills) Cormier.
Prior to retirement, Toney had a career at Sobey’s. He had a fond love of music, enjoyed playing guitar and singing with family and friends, collecting gadgets, fishing adventures and road trips. He loved a good video game competition with his dear uncle Joe and brother Oscar and loved cats.
He had a mischievous grin that would light up a room; he is survived by his siblings: Mike (Mary) Cormier and Phyllis Housego (Russ); his in-laws: Brenda, Linda, Chris and Vaughan, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was predeceased by Robert, Oscar, Claire and Priscilla.
At the family’s request, no visitation and funeral, a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
In Toney’s memory, a donation can be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Candian Diabetes Association.
