Antoine “Tony” Richard

Moncton, NB – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Antoine “Tony” Richard, 78, who passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Monday, December 9th, 2013.

Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Thaddée and the late Élise Richard (nee Bastarache).

Antoine is survived by his four sisters, Marie Mazerolle (late Fred) of Moncton, Bertha Bourque (Francis) of Waltham, Mass., Diane Mclaughlin (Edgar “Tiny”) of Dieppe, Corinne LeBlanc (late René) of Moncton; his two brothers, Raymond (Linda) of Moncton and Robert “Bob” (Louise) of Shediac Bridge; also by several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Antoine was predeceased by his sister, Jeanne McGrath; and by his brother, Paul.

Donations to Moncton Headstart or to the Moncton Boys & Girls Club would be appreciated by the family.

As per Antoine’s request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce RC Church, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton on Saturday, December 14th, 2013 at 10:30am. Burial will take place at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
