It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Aris, at the age of 76 on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Originally from Bas-Cap-Pelé, he was the son of the late Emma Vautour and the late Alcide Vautour.
Aris was strongly devoted to his family. He is survived by his wife Jacinthe (LeBlanc); his three children: Stéphane (Kelly Hicks), Julie (Jérémie Martin) and Janelle (Daniel Richard); his eleven grandchildren: Xavier, Dominic, Liane, Noah, Chloé, Cédric, Luka, Olivier, Brielle, Mikayla and Kayden as well as his ex-son-in-law Sylvain Nadeau. He leaves behind a void in the lives of his brothers Camille (Sylvine) and Léo-Paul (Denise); his nephews and nieces: Mario (Maryse), André (Jocelyne) and Michelle (Adam). He will also be missed by his in-laws, the LeBlanc family, as well as a very close family friend, Nora Johnson.
A proud Acadian, Aris was recognized in the region as a major contractor, appreciated for his professionalism and pioneering spirit in the construction industry, particularly in the development of multi-residential buildings. After his beginnings in residential construction, he carried out numerous projects throughout New Brunswick, including a major contribution to the Pays de la Sagouine. Subsequently, he devoted himself to the construction and management of multi-residential buildings, where his leadership, his sense of innovation and his audacity earned him the admiration of all who knew him.
Outside of his work, which he never considered an obligation, Aris loved to travel, go for car rides, and listen to music, especially while sharing a beer with friends. His favourite place was his cottage in Bas-Cap-Pelé, where he found peace and happiness surrounded by his family, watching the fishing and pleasure boats sail on the ocean and admiring the incredible sunsets.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the caregivers who took care of him at home throughout his illness and until his last breath. Special thanks to Dr. Julie Whalen for her kindness and her dedicated support until the end. Your support and professionalism will forever be etched into the hearts of his family.
Donations can be made in his memory to the PSP Society of Canada or the Maison Albert House.
Visitation will be held from Passage-Chartersville Funeral Cooperative, 363 Amirault St, Dieppe, NB, E1A 1G1, 506-857-1901, on Friday, August 29th, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm only. There will be no funeral service.

My deepest sympathies to you Jacinthe, the kids, and grand-kids. ~ I have only but good memories of when I temporarily babysat/was helping-out with Stéphane (he was only 2yrs-old at the time) at your house in Chartersville waiting for the twins to be born. Even though it was 46yrs ago when I was only 15yrs old, just wanna say that you and Aris were such a caring and loving Family and Employers to me. Again, so sorry for your loss. XO

Jacinthe will always be my heros. They showed me great love, respect and generosity. I always felt welcomed and at home every time I walked into their homes. They have touched my heart in so many ways. The dedication, love and compassion that Stephane, Janelle and Julie had for their mom and dad was so real! Very sorry. Known Aris for a long time. Back in the 60s we were neighbors with Camille and Sylvine and Aris stayed with them going to university.Then 25 years ago I was downsizing after my husband died and decided to move to Mapleton. Aris remembered me. And I am still at Mapleton since he sold.

Aris hired me with very little experience in 1985 and became my mentor. He trained me in many aspects of construction and business. I was blessed to have work with him again in 2020. I have always tried to conduct myself using him as an example. I had a great respect for him as a mentor , employer and a friend. I will miss him. My deepest sympathy goes to Jacinte and to the kids, grand kids and his family. Ps. To Andre, thanks for carrying on his values. From a friend of the family. Robert

My condolences. I knew Aris for several years. One memory was when he came to my wedding. That day he came to our room and brought us a bottle of champagne. We were very grateful to have him and his beautiful wife Jacinthe. We had a fantastic time. I also knew Aris in business. He was always very respectful to me. Sorry to hear that he is gone. .
I only recently learned of Aris’s passing and would like to express my condolences to Jacinthe and family.
I remember Aris from the late 1980’s and early 1990’s when he began his first apartments in Moncton. I was a young Moncton City Councilor and the City had a housing need for area residents who no longer needed or wanted their single residential homes. There was some reluctance to rezone land for his apartments until many residents realized their parents and even themselves wanted that type of home within their established neighbourhoods. He indeed had a “pioneering spirit” and a “sense of innovation” which would lead to many other successful projects in our Metro area and area residents learned they could trust Aris. It has been a number of years since we spoke but Aris will be well and long remembered.
