Cocagne – Aristide Després, 85, passed away peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, October 12th, 2011, after a brief illness.
Born in Cocagne on April 12, 1926, he was the son of late Jacques and Delia (Pellerin) Després.
Aristide was a CNR employee for 35 years.
Aristide will be sadly missed by his three sons, Yvon Després of Cocagne, André Després (Debbie) of Riverview, Normand Mazerolle (Denise) of Ste-Marie; his daughter, Bernice Poirier (Daniel) of Shediac Bridge; his six grandchildren, Justin, Rémi, Joline, Chantal, Joey, Luc; his special friend Dora Arsenault; also several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Andréa (Leger) Després); five sisters, Emélia, Edith, Dorilla, Juliette, Lorraine; and two brothers, Alcide and Gérard.
Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Sunday, October 16 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Monday, October 17 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral service will be held at St-Pierre de Cocagne RC Church on Monday, October 17 at 11 am.
