Joseph André Armand Babineau, 50, of Dieppe, passed away on Monday, June 19th, 2006.
Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of Dora (née: Doiron) and the late Aquila Babineau.
Mr. Babineau had previously been employed as Chef d’Equipe with U de M Security, and Deputy Chief of the Dieppe Fire Department. He enjoyed nature photography and spent time visiting churches and praying, he was a former Boy Scout Leader at Ste.-Thérèse parish, was past president of the NB Association of Fire Chiefs (1982-1983), member of the NBAFPO and the Canadian Fire Investigators Association, he was a parishioner at the Cathédrale and Ste.-Thérèse R.C.C.
Beside his mother Dora of Residence Bellevue, he is survived by 5 sisters: Andréa (Eugene) Robichaud, of Richibucto, Yvonne (Clarence) Cormier of St.-Anselme, Thérese Babineau of Dieppe, Eveline (Leonard) Goguen of Cocagne and Maria (Albert) LeBlanc of Lewisville; a long time friend and confidante, Joanne Gautreau of Pré-d’en-Haut; his nephew and godson: Ron Cormier and also by eight other nieces and nephews, Denis, Lorraine, Henri, Michel, Janice, Gilles Linda and Charline.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by three brothers: Joseph, Yvon and André.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Thursday, June 22nd, 2006 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Friday from 9 am until time of departure . Funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, on Friday, June 23rd, 2006 at 10 am.
Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB
