Armand Edmond Goguen
1936 ~ 2021

Armand Goguen (84) passed away at his residence on Tuesday, July 6, 2021.

Born in Cocagne, he was the son of Edmond Goguen and Rose Melanson. He is survived by his wife, Simonne Leger.

He is survived by brothers, Lévi (Andréa), Adélyre (Janice), his sisters, Germaine (Donald), Léa (Rudy, deceased), Eva (Bart).

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Donald (Jeanne), his sisters, Stella Melanson and Lorraine Léger (Léandre).

Armand worked for CN for 35 years.
After his retirement he was appointed to the National Railway Safety Board. He was involved with the East End Boys & Girls Club, Big Brothers & Big Sisters and The Moncton Volunteer Centre.

He was also involved with the Regional Chamber of Commerce, Kent County Planning Commission, United Way, Tree of Hope Campaign, Knights of Columbus and he was also a volunteer at church.

For the immediate family he was a “father, a brother and a friend”.
For his nieces and nephews, he was a “grandfather figure”.

Armand’s love for Cocagne shows in his often quoted, “Cocagne # 1".

Visitations will be held at St-Pierre de Cocagne Slumber room, on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 2pm until time of the Funeral service at St-Pierre de Cocagne RC Church at 4pm. Note that due to the Covid-19 restrictions, 50 peoples will be able to attend the Funeral Service. Service will be broadcast live at: www.facebook.com/PassageFH. (Click on yellow link).

Donations can be made to the Oncology Centre of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre.
