It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Armand Girouard, husband of Claudette (Dallaire) Girouard, following a long battle with Parkinson’s disease, at the Villa du Repos in Moncton, on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at the age of 76. He was a resident of the Villa du Repos, but formerly of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent. Born in McLean Settlement, he was the son of the late Edouard (Eddie) and the late Stella (Nowlan) Girouard.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 52 years, Claudette Girouard of Dieppe, his two sons he cherished, Marc (Nicole) of Moncton and Luc (Bianka) of Chelsea, Quebec and his four beloved grandchildren Céline, Véronique, Matis and Sacha. He is also survived by his brother Charles-Yvon (Marlene) of Riverview as well as several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by a brother Terry (1982).
DUE TO THE INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE VISITATIONS AND FUNERAL MASS HAS BEEN MOVED TO MONDAY FEBRUARY 7, 2022 WITH VISITATION AT MAILLET FUNERAL HOME, BOUCTOUCHE FROM 2:00 TO 4:00 AND THE FUNERAL MASS AT THE SAINTE-MARIE-DE-KENT CHURCH AT 7:00 PM with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
PROOF OF VACCINATION, GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID AND FACE MASK ARE MANDATORY AT THE FUNERAL HOME AND AT THE CHURCH AS PER THE PUBLIC HEALTH GUIDELINES.
He spent most of his life working for the Province of New Brunswick, ending his career as a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer (CVE) in Bouctouche.
