Cocagne – Arsène Bourque, 59, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, May 1st, after a brief illness.
Born in Cocagne, NB, he was the son of the late Willie and Laudia (Bastarache) Bourque.
Arsène liked fishing and outdoor activities.
Besides his mother, Arsène will be sadly missed by his two brothers, Jean-Guy (Barbara) of Dieppe and Daniel of Cocagne; his two sisters, Claudette Williams (Gary) of Moncton and Ginette Bourque of St-Marcel; to several aunts and uncles, cousins and also to his three nieces, Chantal, Stéphanie and Rebecca. He was Stéphanie’s godfather. A special thanks to a very good friend, Jean-Paul Cormier, who was there when he needed him.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by three brothers, Ulysse, Valmond and Fernand and also one sister, Adela.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Dr. George-L.-Dumont’s nursing staff of the 4C floor and the Palliative Care Unit.
Visitations will be at St. Pierre de Cocagne RC Church slumber roomon Friday, May 4th from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 until time of funeral at 7 pm.
Donations to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
