Arsène Turbide of Miramichi (formerly of Baie-Sainte-Anne), passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023, at the Losier Hall in Miramichi at the age of 91.
Born in Baie-Sainte-Anne on December 29th, 1931, he was the son of the late Alphonse Turbide and the late Gertrude (Manuel) Turbide.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 69 years, Phyllis Turbide of Miramichi; his four sons: Pierre (Barbara Durelle) of Baie-Sainte-Anne, Gaston (Johanne Sirois) of Sept-Iles, Camille and Paul both of Baie-Sainte-Anne; his daughter, Julie Boudreau (Marcel) of Baie-Sainte-Anne; his five grandchildren: Jean-Pierre Turbide (Amy), Britanny Munn (Scott), Tina Miller (Adam), Lise Drisdelle (Omer) and Sophie Babineau (Mathieux); his five great grandchildren: Alexia, Maxime, Caleb, Liam and William; his three brothers: Rheal (Annette) of Baie-Sainte-Anne, Ludger (Edmonde) of Moncton and Alphonse Jr. (Monette) of Baie-Sainte-Anne; his sister, Simonne (Nazaire) of Miramichi, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his three brothers: Normand (Aurelie), Albain (Carmella) and Donat (Genevieve); and by his seven sisters: Alméda (David), Yvonne (Jack), Virginie, Julia (Alyre), Virgine (Adolphe), Alphonsine (Iréné) and Laurina.
Visitation will be held from the Sainte-Anne Parish Slumber Room, Baie-Sainte-Anne, on Tuesday, June 27th from 7 to 9 pm and on Wednesday, June 28th from 2 to 4 pm. Funeral mass will be held at the Sainte-Anne Church, Baie-Sainte-Anne, on Wednesday, June 28th at 4 pm. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
