Artémise Blanchard
1940 ~ 2021

Dieppe, NB
– Artémise Blanchard, 80, passed away suddenly, on Thursday, February 11, 2021.

Born in Saint-Louis-de-Kent, NB, she was the daughter of the late Sylvain Blanchard and the late Délima Blanchard (born Ferron).

Artémise will be sadly missed by her children: Marcos of Dieppe and Danielle Salib Thériault (Christian) of Fredericton; her siblings: Jean-Guy of Lavaltrie, QC, Germaine Gagnon (late Léon) of Ottawa, ON, Laurette Blanchard (Roy Wong) of Deux-Montagnes, QC and Jean-Claude (Raymonde Fortin) of Notre-Dame-de-Kent; her grandchildren: Gabrielle and Noah; her close friend and father of their children: Adly Salib of Moncton; also by several nieces, nephews and friends.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Thérèse Daigle (late Fidèle).

Artémise Blanchard obtained several diplomas from ‘’Université de Moncton’’ and ‘’Université de Montréal’’. She has had a successful teaching career in New Brunswick, Quebec and Ontario.

After retiring from teaching, she proceeded to unearth those interests in writing for the young and the young at heart. From then on, she set out to encourage others in the pursuit of one’s dream, self-esteem and self-validation. As a writer, she has written several books, theater plays, and biographies in the hope to further publicize cherished characters that elicit applause.

Writing was her favorite pastime! She encouraged others not to be afraid of the unknown and to embrace new challenges. Artémise appreciated the exchange of ideas, discussing current events, enjoyed reading and doing puzzles. She also loved singing in her church choir, visiting her children and grandchildren as well as dedicating her life to lending a helping hand to whomever in need.

In brief, she enjoyed building strong bonds with her many friends and family members. Artémise was often seen smiling, spreading joy all around her. She was a lively soul always generously helping others as if it were her life’s mission. She was a person of great Christian faith. All of this, without forgetting her love for animals, especially her furbabies.

What an exemplary legacy to leave behind! She will definitely be a permanent resident of our emotional heart forever more! May she speedily continue to sow in the far beyond what she has so well seeded down her below. How lucky they are over there, to witness her ‘’joie de vivre’’! Do rest assured that every single time we meet a smile, this will serve as a reminder of her and her purpose. Till next time, our beloved one, forever in our hearts, please do enjoy your rest! God speed!
