Arthur E. LeBlanc, 90, of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Friday, October 9th, 2009 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital.Born in Saint-Anselme, NB, he was the son of the late Ernest and the late Leonie (née: Landry) LeBlanc.
Prior to retirement, Mr. LeBlanc had worked for the C.N.R. He was a former instructor and president, of the Acadian Hockey League. He enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Cap Brulé, was an avid fan of the Moncton Wildcats and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus – Council # 1310, the Club d’Age d’Or and of the Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church Parish, Dieppe, NB.
He is survived by his wife, Aline (née: Cormier); five daughters: Nicole LeBlanc-Mills (Terrence Bourque) of Dieppe, Fernande (Art) Powell of Shediac, Pierrette (Yves) Roussel of Dieppe, Denise (Greg) Martin of Aulac and Jocelyne Landry (Jean-Claude Boudreau) of Shediac; one son, Leonard (Benoite) LeBlanc of Dieppe; two sisters: Rita LeBlanc of Dieppe and Aline LeBlanc of Moncton; 8 grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters: Anna and Doris; four brothers: Léo, Roméo, Alfred and Narcisse and also by one grandson, Bertrand.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, (857-1901), on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.
No public visitation session the morning of the funeral.
Funeral mass will be celebrated from Ste-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB on Monday, October 12th, 2009 at 10: 30 am. Interment in the Saint-Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
Donations to the Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Né à Saint-Anselme, N.-B., il était fils de feu Ernest et de feu Leonie (née: Landry) LeBlanc.
Avant sa retraite, M. LeBlanc avait travaillé au C.N.R. Il a été instructeur et president de la ligue de Hockey Acadienne. Il aimait passé du temps à son chalet à Cap Brulé et avait une passion pour les Moncton Wildcats. Il était également membre des Chevaliers de Colomb – Conseil # 1310, du Club d’Age d’Or et de la paroisse Saint-Anselme, Dieppe, N.-B.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Aline (née: Cormier); cinq filles: Nicole LeBlanc-Mills (Terrence Bourque) de Dieppe, Fernande (Art) Powell de Shediac, Pierrette (Yves) Roussel de Dieppe, Denise (Greg) Martin de Aulac et Jocelyne Landry (Jean-Claude Boudreau) de Shediac; un fils, Leonard (Benoite) LeBlanc de Dieppe; deux soeurs: Rita LeBlanc de Dieppe et Aline LeBlanc de Moncton; 8 petits-enfants ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Deux soeurs: Anna et Doris; quatre frères: Léo, Roméo, Alfred et Narcisse ainsi qu’un petit-fils, Bertrand l’ont précédé dans la tombe.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B., (857-1901) le dimanche de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h.
Aucune visite publique le matin des funérailles.
Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Ste-Thérèse, Dieppe, N.-B., le lundi 12 octobre, 2009 à 10h :30. L’inhumation au cimetière paroissial Saint-Anselme, Dieppe, N.-B.
Un don à la Fondation du Diabètes ou la Fondation du Rein serait apprecié par la famille.
