Born in Haute-Aboujagane, NB, on July 15th, 1926, Arthur was the son of the late Aldéric and the late Agnès Richard (nee Cormier).
Before his retirement, Arthur was a carpenter and also worked for CN for many years.
Arthur is survived by his six children, Maurice Richard (Ginette) of Haute-Aboujagane, Nora LeBlanc (Albéo) of Shediac, Léo Richard (Janet) of Shediac, Paul Richard (Brenda) of London, Ont., Louis Richard (Monique) of Haute-Aboujagane, Shirley Cormier (Armand) of Shediac; his brother, Norbert Richard (Florence) of Haute-Aboujagane; his four sisters, Dorilla Dallaire (Aubrey), Florence LeBlanc (late François), Émerise Porelle (late Azor) and Huberte Bourque (Normand) all of Haute-Aboujagane; his friend Rita Wilton; he is also survived by his five loving grandchildren, Mathieu, Renée, Mario, Trever and Jessica; and by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his parents, Arthur was predeceased by his wife Alice Richard (2010), his four sisters, Lucie, Yvonne, Rose and Dorice; his five brothers, Adrice, Eric, Camille, Ulysse and Yvon
As per Arthur’s wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Sacré-Coeur RC Church in Haute-Aboujagane on Tuesday, April 15th, 2014 at 11:00am.
The family would like thank all the staff of Palliative Care Unit for the compassionate and loving care that Arthur received.
