Saint-Antoine, NB – Astrid Goguen,79, of Foyer Au Benaise, Saint-Antoine (formerly of Cocagne), passed away peacefully at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, NB on October 12th, 2023.
Born in Saint-Damien, NB, she was the daughter of the late Iréné LeBlanc and the late Aline (Cormier) LeBlanc.
Astrid worked for over 35 years as a school teacher at Clément Cormier High School. She volunteered for several organizations, including the Knights of Columbus, Recreatif council of Cocagne and the Saint-Pierre-de-Cocagne church. She was a woman of faith, and her family and friends were important to her. She will be dearly missed.
She will be sadly missed by her two sons: Paul-Emile Goguen of Cocagne, and Emmanuel Goguen (Tania Hebert) of Saint-Antoine; her two daughters: Charline (Tim Hogan) Goguen of Cocagne, and Anne Goguen (Jean-Yves Anger) of Thedford Mines; her two grandsons: Luca Goguen and Thomas Goguen; her brother, Jacques (Phyllis) of Champs-Dorés; her sister, Aldéa (Oscar) of Saint-Antoine; her sister-in-law, Murielle LeBlanc of Saint-Damien; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edouard Goguen; her brother, Fernand LeBlanc; as well as her granddaughter, Sophia Goguen.
In respect with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
