Audrey D. Galbraith RN, LPN (Hon)

Riverview, NB – It is with sadness the family announces that Audrey D. Galbraith RN, LPN (Hon), age 97, of Riverview, passed peacefully on November 12, 2016 after a brief stay at the Moncton Hospital.

Born in Havelock, NB, she was the daughter of the late Earl and the late Hazel Saunders (nee Coates).

She was predeceased of many years by her husband, Lt. Cmdr. Robert F. Galbraith RCN and her Pollyanna Saunders.

Audrey is survived by her sons, Michael (Darlene) of Caissie Cape, NB, Robert (Debbie) of Burlington, ON & Rodney (Kandice) of Wingham, ON; by her granddaughters: Roxanne and Terrie; by her grandsons, Vaughan & James, Andrew & Matthew; by her great granddaughters, Gaelyn, Câte, Meghan & Danielle; by her great grandsons, Cole & Mason, Liam and Cameron.

Audrey attended UNB, McGill University & the Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal. She was highly respected among the medical community & held in esteem by her LPN students of Nursing. She had a beautiful mind and was prodigious until the end. Special thanks to hospital staff of 3400 and Dr. Jamie Stewart, Dr. Pierre Beaulieu & Dr. Oludara – Fadare. And to all her extended family at Briarlea Resort, thank you for your love and care.

Special friends: Linda Furrow, Karen Odgen Pond, Kate MacLeod, Brenda Phillips & Elsie Olson for a life well loved. We are all the poorer for our loss and shall forever miss her great kindness and caring for all. Forever in our hearts as loving Mother, Nurse, Teacher & Friend, a beautiful person.

At her request a private family service was conducted.
