Aurèle Melanson, 77, of Dieppe, passed away on Friday, July 20th, 2007 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Ste.-Marie-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Cléophas and the late Alexina (Melanson) Melanson.
Prior to retirement, he was a trucker for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria (née: Cormier); two daughters: Cheryl (Charles) Bérubé of Moncton and Monique (Clayton) Smiley of Sydney, NS; six sisters: Marguerite (Paul) Robichaud and Annette Girouard, both of Ste.-Marie, Odette (Léo) Brun of Moncton, Anise (Roger) LeBlanc of Danbury Conn., Thérèse (Sylvio) Cormier of Mississauga, ON and Alberta Melanson of Toronto, ON; five grandchildren: Jessica, Justin, Jocelyne, Chantelle and Victoria as well as by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three brothers: Roméo, Louis and Normand.
Visitation will be held from Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB 857-1901, on Sunday, July 22nd, 2007, from 2 to 4 pm and from 7pm to 9 pm and also on Monday from 10 am until time of service.
Funeral mass will be celebrated from Ste-Thérère Roman Catholic Church, on Monday, July 23rd, 2007, at 11 am.
Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
Donations to the oncology unit of the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundations would be appreciated by the family.
