Aurore Chase
1929 ~ 2023

Dieppe, NB – Aurore Chase, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 14^th, 2023, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.

Born in Dieppe, she was the daughter of the late Thaddée Gauvin and the late Marie (Bourgeois) Gauvin.

Prior to her retirement, she worked at Mary’s Pastry and Sobey’s as a donut maker. She was also a volunteer for many years at the Club-d’Âge-d’Or in Dieppe.

She is survived by her two daughters: Norma of Dieppe and Noreen (Suzanne) of Montreal; her granddaughter, Allison (Dave) of Montreal; her sister, Irene (late Jim) of Hammond, ON.; her brother, Gilbert (Agnes) of Dieppe as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Emery (June 2019) her four sisters: Aurelie, Lorette, Colombe and Violet as well as her two brothers: Emile and Gerald.

Visitation will be held at the Passage-Chartersville Funeral Cooperative (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, E1A 1G1, 506-857-1901) on Friday, September 22^nd from 9 to 10 am only. Funeral service will follow in the chapel at 10 am on the same day. The family strongly recommends wearing a face mask.
