Born in Charlottetown, PEI, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Charlotte Richard (nee Keenan). She worked for the Federal Government for over twenty years.

Barbara will be sadly missed by her husband, Norm Richard of Moncton, NB; by her three children; Krista of Moncton, NB, Brent (Patti) of Riverview, NB and Bob (Linda) of Moncton, NB; by her 2 two sisters, Shirley Doucette (late Art) of Charlottetown, PEI and Betty Randall (Pete) of Blackville, NB; by her brother, Roland "Doc" (Evie) of Moncton, NB; by her sister-in-law, Gloria Richard of Moncton, NB; by her beloved grandchildren, Breanna (Jeremie Vautour), Joshua, Jeremy and Tyler; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her two sisters, Janet Deware and Pat Hennessey; by her three brothers, Eugene "Toots", Melvin "Mickey" and John.

Our thanks to all the staff at Monarch Hall, Riverview. No words can express our deep gratitude for the excellent and compassionate care provided to our mom. You will always have a special place in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road (corner West Lane), Moncton, NB on Saturday, October 8th, 2016 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. In keeping with Barb’s wishes there will be no funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer`s Society or to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family.
