Barbara Johnson, 72, of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Saturday, February 6th 2010, at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital.
Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Fred and the late Dorothy (née: Haynes) Corcoran.

Mrs. Johnson had worked at the Moncton Hotel Dieu Hospital, she was a member of the Retired Nurses Association and the Saint-Anselme Parish.

She is survived by her husband, Jean-Marie; two daughters: Susan (Jean) Belliveau and Elizabeth (Alonzo) Cormier, both of Memramcook; two sons: Robert (Monique) of Dieppe and Terry (Diane) of Grande-Digue; nine grandchildren: Annie, Denis, Dominic, Marc, Simon, Jacques, Patrick, Noah and Julie as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters: Margaret and Geraldine and also by two brothers: Fred and John.

Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, (857-1901), on Monday from 7 to 9 pm, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Wednesday from 2 pm until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB on Wednesday, February 10th 2010, at 3 pm. Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Donations to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation“Oncology” would be appreciated by the family.

À l’Hôpital Dr Georges-L. Dumont de Moncton, le samedi 6 février, 2010, à l’âge de 72 ans, est décédée Barbara Johnson, domiciliée à Dieppe, N.-B. Née à Moncton, N.-B., elle était fille de feu Fred et de feu Dorothy (née: Haynes) Corcoran.

Mme Johnson avait autrefois travaillé à l’Hôpital Hotel Dieu de Moncton. Elle était membre de l’Association des infirmières retraités et de la paroisse Saint-Anselme.

Elle laisse dans le deuil son époux, Jean-Marie; deux filles: Susan (Jean) Belliveau et Elizabeth (Alonzo) Cormier, toutes deux de Memramcook; deux fils: Robert (Monique) de Dieppe et Terry (Diane) de Grande-Digue; neuf petits-enfants: Annie, Denis, Dominic, Marc, Simon, Jacques, Patrick, Noah et Julie ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.

Outres ses parents, deux soeurs: Margaret et Geraldine ainsi que deux frères: Fred et John l’ont précédée dans la tombe.

Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B., (857-1901) le lundi de 19h à 21h, le mardi de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h et le mercredi de 14h jusqu’au départ. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Anselme, Dieppe, N.-B., le mercredi 10 février 2010 à 15h. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire, Dieppe, N.-B.
Un don à la fondation Dr Georges-L. Dumont “Oncologie” serait appecié par la famille.
