It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bella Bourque, 89, that occurred, due to sudden illness, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton on March 2nd, 2025.
Born in Cap-Pele, she was the daughter of the late Adelard LeBlanc and the late Aurore (Collette) LeBlanc.
Bella worked as a salesclerk and manager at several retail stores in Moncton, Shediac, and Massachusetts until her retirement. She enjoyed walking the beaches, being outdoors working in her flowers and had a great passion for gardening. An expert quilter, she has made several over the years for her family and friends. Friends and family members will remember her great cooking and will cherish her recipes. With a great love for humor, she had a beautiful smile and loved to laugh.
She will be sadly missed by her two sons: Alvin Bourque of Ottawa, ON, and James Bourque (Linda) of Upton, Massachusetts; her four daughters: Diane Gaudet (late Don) and Janita LeBlanc (late Lloyd) both of Shediac, Muriel Arsenault (Reginald) of Sandford, Florida, and Lisa Bourque (Daniel) of Moncton; her nine grandchildren: Jason (Tracy), Kim (Fred), Lloyd (Lisa), Reggie, Joel, David, Bryanna (Elmer), James (Noemi), and Jacob; her eight great grandchildren: Laurent, Emmanuelle, Mackenna, Isabella, Leo, Lucas, Henry, and Ares; her two sisters: Louise Vautour (Hervé ) Pointe-du-chêne and Juliette Morgan (late Tom) of Calgary, AB; her sister-in-law, Sinikka LeBlanc (late Alban) of Timmins, ON; her brother-in-law, Harry LeBlanc (late Jeannette) of Cap-Pele; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Yvon Bourque; her three brothers: Guillaume, Alban, and Louis; as well as her two sisters: Huberte, and Jeannette.
In respect with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
To honor her memory, immediate family will have a celebration of life in the Spring.
